AKG's industry-leading C 414 microphones are already a permanent fixture in the world's biggest recording studios and a highly respected work horse for independent artists, broadcasting, and on-stage miking as well.

The C 214 is designed as a cost-effective alternative to the high-end, industry-leading C 414 family. It  captures sound combining one side of the legendary C 414 dual-capsule system and AKG’s patented Back-Plate Technology which results in an outstanding performance very close to the famous C 414 B-XLS.

Like the C 414 models, the C 214 is capable of handling the rigors of high-pressure sound such as amplified guitars, with a sensitivity perfect for voice and orchestral instruments as well. Additionally, the microphone offers a 20 dB Attenuation pad, 13 dB noise floor, and a low cut switch—all in an elegant but rugged package.

Additional features include an integrated suspension, a double mesh grill high RF immunity without affecting acoustics. The circuitry in the C 214 provides maximum SPL capability with minimum noise and the gold-plated XLR-type output connector offers loss-free signals.

The C 214 comes complete with a carrying case, windscreen, and spider suspension mount included.

Features:

•  AKG’s Legendary 1” Edge-Terminated Large Diaphragm Sound
•  Outstanding Dynamic Range (up to 156 dB SPL, Ultra-Low Noise)
•  Roadworthy Design
•  Integrated Suspension to reduce mechanical Noise
•  Switchable 20 dB Attenuation Pad and Low Cut Switch
•  Rugged double mesh Grill for high RF immunity but unaffected Acoustics
•  All-metal Die-cast body with shock- and scratch-resistant Finish
•  Spider-type Shock Mount included

LETS FACE IT, MUSIC RECORDING CAN GET EXPENSIVE. LUCKILY YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE UP QUALITY TO ACHIEVE AWESOME RESULTS. THATS WERE THIS BABY COME IN. A NOTCH BELOW ONE OF THE BADDEST MIC'S IN THE MARKET TODAY (BXL 414 CL). ALTHOUGH THE DIAPRAM ISN'T THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL THE SOUND IT PROVIDES IS IMPRESSIVE.

      Comments about Akg C 214:

This is definitely one of the best condensor mics in it's price range. Very clear sound and sturdy construction. With a mic like this, your next step in quality would be a $1000 mic.

I recorded my band with this mic and found it awesome on vocals and as a room mic for guitars and drums. Just the look of it is cool
and gives your studio a pro look. But the most important thing is how great everything I recorded with it sounds. " This is a real hands on product review from Dominic@ Sam Ash Lombard "

          Comments about Akg C 214:

At this price its hard to find another mic that can compete with the AKG 214, being the little brother to the 414, it has many of the same features in a more stripped down package. If you are searching for a mic with incredible response and clarity and with extreme versatility this is the mic you are looking for.

              Comments about Akg C 214:

I replaced an old MXL v-series mic with the AKG c 214. First I compared the two mics in the store to make sure there was a noticeable improvement between the MXL and the AKG c 214. In the store, I could hear that the AKG c 214 had more clarity.

When I got the AKG c 214 home and started working with it, I discovered just how good this mic is. It reproduces the tonality of my voice and guitar far more faithfully than the MXL v-series. There's just no comparison.

Things are much easier with this mic. I should have upgraded years ago.
