3015 Promag Grand Pickup
The Promag Grand is the result of a patented coil configuration. The goal, when designing the Grand, was to keep that same great sound of the Dean Markley ProMag Plus, while doing it with a silent Humbucking coil. Grand's patented coil is what allowed Dean Markley to reach thier goal.
Grand has the same rich sound as the Dean Markley ProMag Plus while having up to 15 times less hum than any of the competition. With a real maple wood housing and an ebony grand piano finish with the Dean Markley signature emblazoned in gold, Grand looks as good as it sounds and is an acoustical pickup you must have.

Comments about Promag Grand Acoustic Pickup & Dean Markley String Package:
This is not a good choice for adding amplification to an acoustic guitar. The resulting sound is that of an electric, NOT an amplified acoustic sound, due to the fact that it's a coil-based pickup, not a transducer.
It will however, transform your acoustic into an electric guitar with a single pickup. But if that's what you wanted, play an electric and you'll get all the advantages of an electric.
This is a whacky idea. It's like adding an outboard motor to a sailboat. Ketchup on your cereal anybody? It just doesn't work.
And BTW, the item description says it's the best thing in "light years." Light years measures distance, not time. And... it really isn't a good idea at all, in any location any light years from here. ; )
