The Les Paul Studio features a solid maple top on a chambered mahogany body. In an effort to reduce the potential excessive weight; portions of the mahogany body have been strategically scooped out to maximize comfort; as well as enhancing acoustic qualities and improving resonance. The addition of a maple top gives players the familiar tonewood combination that produces that classic Les Paul sound.
A quarter-sawn mahogany neck with a traditional 60s style slim tapered profile will feel great in your hands. The fingerboard of the Les Paul Studio is carved from Granadillo; which possesses a similar aesthetic to rosewood, and is an environmentally sound alternative due to the scarcity of rosewood. To maximize playability, the fingerboard has a 12” radius and is adorned with the familiar trapezoid inlays that give the Les Paul its identity.
The Les Paul Studio boasts a pair of classic Gibson Humbuckers that deliver that powerful growling tone that you’ve come to expect from a Les Paul. The addition of a push/pull coil-tap system on each tone control will expand your tonal range and maximize versatility. This latter day classic boasts a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece for maximum sustain and vintage-style machine heads provide tuning stability. A deluxe Gibson hardshell case is included.
