The Fender Kingman SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar from the California Series will transport you back to the 1960s, when the boys in Fullerton were cranking out guitars that not only kept up with the times, but helped define an era The Kingman SCE harkens back to those times with its vintage styled body and Stratocaster style headstock.
The single cutaway dreadnought body is features a solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing, along with a mahogany back and sides. This traditional reliable tonewood combination will produce the crisp resonant tone associated with Fender acoustic guitars. A dreadnought body features Fender’s “tight” cutaway design to maximize upper fret access. Fans of Fender’s legendary solidbody electric guitars will love the maple ‘C’ shaped neck with the unmistakable Stratocaster style headstock. A bound rosewood fingerboard features 20 vintage style frets and elegant mother of pearl block inlays.
The Kingman SCE also features the easy to operate Fishman Presys Tuner/Preamp system. Located on the guitar's upper left side, the Fishman's separate gain, bass, and treble controls allow you shape your tone in mid-performance. Pressing a Phase switch boosts low end when playing at reduced volume and helps mitigate feedback at higher volume levels as well. The WD170SWCE also features an onboard LED tuner with auto-mute for silent tuning onstage. Case not included.
