The Ibanez GRG121DX incorporates the body style of the original RG. In 1987, Ibanez unveiled the RG Series, and a legend was born. It quickly became the weapon of choice for hard rock and metal players worldwide and recognized as the ultimate metal machine.
The iconic body style is carved from basswood, and is outfitted with a metal approved dual humbucker electronics schematic. These Ibanez designed IBZ STDH1/STDH2 humbuckers boast high-output ceramic magnets and deliver that massive metal tone you’re looking for. The Ibanez GRG121DX’s 3 way pickup selector allows for infinite tonal possibilities in tandem with a simplified 2 knob volume-tone control system.
The maple neck on the Ibanez GRG121DX Electric Guitar is adorned with a bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid ‘shark tooth’ inlays and 24 jumbo frets on an ultra-flat 15.74” radius which allows for maximum velocity soloing and effortless string bending. This metal machine is also equipped with a no-nonsense fixed bridge which will keep its tuning through even the most aggressive solos. Case not included.
