The Schecter Solo-6 Custom is a radical take on a traditional style. The Solo-6 takes an old-school vibe and gives it Schecter designed updated treatment. While retaining the tried and true single-cutaway style, Schecter alters the curves to give the body an offset tilted style and adds a rear contour which increases player comfort. The body is carved from mahogany and features Multi-ply creme binding around a maple top (flamed maple on sunburst finishes); replicating the classic tonewood combination. The Solo-6 Custom delivers top shelf quality at a working musician’s price.
The neck is constructed from 3 piece mahogany and has been shaped in to an extra thin profile for high velocity soloing and the neck joint is specially contoured to allow easier access to the upper frets. The ebony fingerboard is equipped with 22 extra-jumbo frets that will facilitate effortless string bending. Mother of Pearl split crown inlays add to the old-school vibe of this guitar.
The Schecter Solo-6 Custom sports a pair of Seymour Duncan Custom Humbuckers that ooze plenty of classic rock & roll vibe. The control panel includes recessed master volume and tone controls, with coil taps to give you the option of a single coil sound, and a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch. Rounding out the hardware is a set of Schecter Locking tuners with with pearl buttons and a 19:1 gear ratio for smooth and precise tuning. At the other end, the Solo-6 Custom is outfitted with a traditional tune-o-matic style bridge, paired with a stop tailpiece for maximum tuning stability and sustain. Case not included.
