The Ibanez RG2228GK is the first 8-string electric guitar in the RG Prestige line.
Made popular by bands such as Meshuggah, the 8-string is rapidly rising through the ranks of guitarists in usage, and this model will make you want to join in.
It has a basswood body to reduce weight, along with a 5-piece maple/bubinga Wizard-8 Prestige neck that's slimmed to offset the added width, and a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets that's easier to play than you'd think. The dual EMG 808 pickups are designed for tonal fury. More features include a custom 8-string Edge III tremolo, die-cast tuners, and stark black hardware. Includes a custom-fitted case.
