The Expedition 40iw gets its commanding, full-range sound, from its perfectly balanced 6-inch woofer and a 1-inch high frequency driver. The built in rechargeable battery powers a 40 watt Class D amplifier is perfectly matched to the drivers for high efficiency and low current draw -- giving you hours of operation per charge. The amp and all components are extremely lightweight making this one of the easiest to transport PA systems in its class.
If you need stereo sound, a 1/4 inch in/out jack lets you link two Samson Expedition 40i units for a true stereo rig. Samson also made the Expedition 40iw stand mountable so you can place the speakers perfectly for the best room coverage and stereo separation.
