The Washburn WD11SCE is a traditional style dreadnought acoustic with a strong connection to guitars of decades past. The WD11SCE boasts a solid cedar top as opposed to the more common choice of spruce. The solid cedar soundboard produces a warm, mellow tone that is slightly darker than spruce. Blues and fingerstyle artists will be well pleased with how responsive this instrument is to a light touch and strummers will find the dynamic range of this guitar a perfect alternative. The back and sides are constructed from mahogany. The slim taper mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with traditional dot inlays and will feel comfortable in your fretting hand. The Washburn WD-11S Acoustic Guitar sports a single cutaway body design that allows for extended range in your lead playing for when you need to access those upper register notes. This guitar is an outstanding value and is perfect for home, recording or stage use.
The Washburn WD-10SCE also features the easy to operate Fishman Isys+ Tuner/Preamp system. Located on the guitar's upper left side, the Fishman's separate gain, bass, and treble controls allow you shape your tone in mid-performance. Pressing a Phase switch boosts low end when playing at reduced volume and helps mitigate feedback at higher volume levels as well. The WD-10SCE also features an onboard LED tuner with auto-mute for silent tuning onstage. Case not included.
