The Takamine EG416S New Yorker Acoustic Electric Guitar has a traditional look reminiscent of parlor guitars that will take you back to decades past. This style of guitar was extremely popular during the folk music era. The Gloss Natural finish solid Spruce top on the EG416S New Yorker provides depth and amazing harmonic richness. You will be surprised by the responsiveness and projection from this diminutive guitar. A 3-piece rosewood back has a quilt maple center strip and rosewood sides that provide warmth in the overall tone. Other accoutrements include an abalone rosette and a mahogany neck that features a rosewood fingerboard with abalone inlays.
Despite the antique styling, the Takamine EG416S New Yorker Acoustic Electric Guitar is a not a recreation of a museum piece, but a totally modern performance instrument fully equipped with a state of the art electronic system featuring the TP4T preamp with built in tuner and 3-Band EQ and is ready to plug into a sound system and take the stage.
