• The Drum Shell: 1.5mm Brass and “beaded”! The center bead around the center of the drum is a classic and familiar design element and (without naming any names) helps make some of the most famous snare drums great. The center bead stiffens the shell and helps focus the response of the drum.
• The Look: The shell is nickel-plated in Black for a very cool, very handsome appearance. The plating is absolutely smooth, very reflective and prevents the shell from taking on any kind of corrosion.
• The Sound: PEARL intended to make the Sensitone Elite snare drums ideal general purpose snares. The 6-1/2” depth will deliver excellent depth to the tone, a good “fat” sound while the brass shell will cut without “clank”, nicely bright but with lots of solid, mid-range response and a lively ringiness. The soft-to-loud dynamics are good and wide and the Sensitone Elite Brass snare will be comfortable and will sound great playing just about anything!
