The Sound Lab Project G-Maple Snare Drum
This very thick 13-ply, 10mm Maple shell with a Tamo Ash outer ply, combined with rigid die-cast hoops and minimal contact brass tube lugs, creates a bright, powerful sound with surprising volume. The 13” diameter allows higher pitches to be tuned while the 7” depth keeps the sound full and fat.
The Tamo Ash outer ply reveals the complex grain structure of the wood and is a beautiful finish for this very distinctive snare drum. With the Sound Lab Project, TAMA is bringing us what are truly custom drum designs but come to us at more affordable prices.
