The G5422TDCG Electromatic is a double-cutaway rocker that carries on the incomparable tradition of Gretsch Hollowbody electric guitars that has spanned over six decades and has been a crucial part of music history. The body features a laminated maple top, back and sides with bound F-holes and sound-post bracing. This future classic will fit the bill for many different styles; everything from traditional rockabilly to blues to straight up rock & roll.
The electronics schematic features a pair of new “Black Top” Filter’Tron™ pickups. You’ll get tons of high-end twang from the bridge pickup, as well as having the option to switch to smooth, warm blues and jazz tones with bottom-end to spare from the neck pickup. You can use the individual volume controls for each pickup to shape your tone to accommodate any style of music. The G5422TDCG Electromatic is not just for rockabilly twangin’. The controls also include a master volume and tone.
The neck on the G5422TDCG Electromatic is carved from maple into a comfortable, thin profile that will feel at home in your fretting hand. A bound rosewood fingerboard with luxurious pearl inlays and 22 medium-jumbo frets will facilitate total ease of playability. Gold hardware includes a set of vintage-style open-back tuners, classic “G" arrow control knobs, and a rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic bridge. The G5422TDCG Electromatic also features a Bigsby®-licensed B60 vibrato tailpiece. The gold hardware is a perfect match for the Snow Crest White finish. Case not included.
