For guitarists who must have original-era Jazzmaster sound, look and feel, the Classic Series ?60s Jazzmaster Lacquer epitomizes the instrument during the 1960s.

Fender once again has brought back one of their all-time classics to create a powerful new addition to the family. The Classic Series  Jazzmaster ‘60s Electric Guitar retains its legendary offset waist and contoured body design that was far ahead of its time in 1958. Maintaining tradition, the Jazzmaster Classic ‘60s is finished in Surf Green, using their old standby, Nitrocellulose Lacquer.  The body is carved from alder, the most widely used tonewood by Fender.

Electronics feature a pair of Fender American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster pickups. These updated pickups deliver that original-era Jazzmaster sound that graced countless recordings in the ‘60s. A vintage-tint maple neck sports a traditional 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard, with 21 vintage frets. The Chrome hardware includes vintage-style tuners, 6-Saddle Adjustable bridge with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece. The Fender Classic Series Jazzmaster ‘60s delivers vintage vibe and tone. A Hardshell Case is included.

Comments about Fender '60S Jazzmaster Lacquer Electric Guitar:

This guitar is incredibly comfortable to play with the belly cut and arm contour. I bought this guitar to achieve a surf tone on some songs I've written - but I've found that it's so versatile that I can play it through an entire show.

The delivery took only 7 days, and the guitar came without the need for a set up or a fix on intonation.

I'm so glad I purchased this guitar through Sam Ash.

Comments about Fender '60S Jazzmaster Lacquer Electric Guitar:

I had not played a Jazzmaster since the 60s. I bought this from Sam Ash Direct because it has the original Jazzmaster circuitry and AVRI pickups, the price was great compared to an AVRI, and I like the color. Out of the box, I was very pleased with the quality of the workmanship from Ensenada--no visible flaws in frets or finish. It needed a set-up to lower the action. I strung it with flatwounds to tame the treble and added a Buzzstop. Now, it looks and sounds just like a 60s Jazzmaster. Very happy with this guitar! Nice work, Fender , and Thank You, Sam Ash!
