The 2014 LPJ Electric Guitar combines classic Les Paul-style tone with revolutionary features at a price point no musician can argue with.

In honor of their 120th Anniversary, Gibson is proud to present the LPJ. The LPJ takes the coveted tone of Les Paul Standard and blends that with a slew of innovative features for 2014 to bring you one of the finest USA hand-crafted instruments at a working musicians price.

The body of the LPJ is crafted from the traditional tonewood combination that made the Standard an instant classic, with a solid mahogany back and a carved maple top. The solid mahogany back is also features a traditional weight relief rout which will not only provide you with enhanced resonance but will reduce the weight of your guitar for a more comfortable strapped-on feel. The glued-in neck is carved from maple into the comfortably rounded '50s profile and the rosewood fingerboard sports 22 corrosion-resistant, cryogenic-treated frets, an addition to the Gibson 120th Anniversary features, for incomparable fret life plus classic trapezoid inlays and a commemorative 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret.

The 2014 LPJ comes equipped with a pair of '61 Zebra humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck positions, new for 2014. These pickups are designed to emulate the tone of those original PAF humbuckers but feature modern updates for the 21st century. These pickups are the ideal mixture of relentless power, classic tone and sonic versatility – from a mellow clean to scorching hot leads and everything in between, these pickups are sure to deliver. Each pickup is routed through the 3-way pickup selector and independent tone and volume controls.

The classic pairing of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece grace the LPJ and will provide you with the optimal sustain and resonance while the enlarged no-slip strap buttons, new for 2014, will keep the LPJ secure throughout your entire performance. This LPJ also wears no pickguard to cater to its stripped-down appearance. Gibson's 120th Anniversary additions include black Max Grip Speed Knobs, a black GraphTech nut, long-life proprietary coated guitar strings and a full PLEK setup. This attractive package is completed by a durable Gibson gig bag.

Comments about Gibson 2014 LPJ Electric Guitar:

So everyone needs a les paul but not everyone could afford one. Well gibson stopped that. The LPJ is a very cool guitar. I plugged it in and it just gave me that les paul rock and roll sound right off the rip, it stayed in tune and played like a champ. The satin finish made playing on the neck smooth and easy and kept me from having to polish it all the time.
