You are looking at a 2014 Les Paul Peace Electric Guitar Peaceful Orange, serial number 140008235. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (8 lbs, 12 oz.)

A tribute to the decade that made the Les Paul a rock legend: The 2014 Les Paul Peace Electric Guitar.

The 1960s represents a time of peace, love, rock 'n' roll, and most importantly, the launch of one of the most notable instruments in history: the Gibson Les Paul. First released to the world in 1952, the Les Paul became and instant hit, but was kicked into high gear during the '60s when the updated 1958-1960 Les Paul Standards became the “standard” for legendary rockers including Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. Since then, the popularity of the Gibson Les Paul has continued to grow throughout the years and over four and a half decades later, the Les Paul remains as one of the most highly sought-after electric guitars in the world. In honor of their 120th Anniversary, Gibson is proud to present to you the Les Paul Peace which pays homage to the decade that made the Les Paul a rock 'n' roll icon. The Les Paul Peace takes all the qualities that made this guitar a classic in the first place, blends that with a commemorative '60s styling and offers up a slew of updated features for 2014.

The 2014 Les Paul Peace is crafted from the classic solid mahogany/maple tonewood combination. The carved AA figured maple top on the Les Paul Peace is reminiscent of those perfectly book-matched figured maple tops on those coveted Les Paul Standards of the late '50s/early '60s, however, unlike those first standards which had a completely solid backs, the mahogany back of the Les Paul Peace employs the traditional weight relief rout, an innovative technique used by Gibson to slightly reduce the weight of the guitar for enhanced strapped-on comfort while still providing you with a solid feel and allowing for an outstanding resonance. The glued-in mahogany is carved into the slim '60s profile and is topped off with a bound rosewood fingerboard that houses 22 undercut frets to expand your playing surface and have undergone a cryogenic treatment to combat corrosion for a long-lasting fret life – both as a part of the 120th anniversary features. The fingerboard also boasts traditional trapezoid inlays and a commemorative 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret.

Equipped with a set of Gibson '61 humbuckers that are wound with unbalanced coils, the 2014 Les Paul Peace is sure to deliver the edge, depth and bite of those vintage PAF humbuckers. These pickups come wired through a traditional control complement; with independent volume and tone controls with Orange Drop tone caps and a 3-way toggle.

The performance-ready 2014 Les Paul Peace comes loaded straight out of the factory with the revolutionary onboard Min-ETune, an automated tuning system that allows you to choose between any of the 12 factory tunings or 6 user presets. Once a tuning is selected, just simply strum the strings and watch the Les Paul Peace tune itself on the spot with unparalleled precision.

The Gibson 120th Anniversary additions on the 2014 Les Paul Peace include an enlarged, no-slip strap buttons for the ultimate security throughout your performance, a black GraphTech nut, long-life proprietary coated guitar strings and a full PLEK setup.

In honor of the decade that launched the Les Paul, the 2014 Les Paul Peace is offered in your choice of peace inspired finishes including Harmonious Sunset, Mellow Out Green, Peaceful Orange, Placid Purple, Tranquility Blue Burst or Serenity Sunrise. The Les Paul Peace also boasts a “Peace” engraved stopbar tailpiece with peace-sign studs complemented by a tune-o-matic bridge for enhanced sustain and resonance. The package is completed by vintage cream binding, pickup mounting rings and pickguard, groovy tie-dye peace-sign knobs and the superior protection of a custom hemp-covered hardshell case with a peace symbol and tie-dye interior.

Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Peace Electric Guitar (Peaceful Orange, SN:140008235):

I love this axe it's so close to a 59 burst and didn't have to pay a arm and leg for it. Play like butter I changed my pups to pafs and changed the wiring and sonified it( used high frequency sound waves to frack the guitar and left it out in the sun all summer which reduced the weight from 10.7 to 9.2 lbs. the green finish turned a lot less green and brought out the yellow and brown looks great and aged best guitar I ever had and everyone who's played it agrees. One in a million wouldn't trade it for a $450,000.00 59 burst. I can feel the littlest touch through the guitar and really lets me express my art.
