You are looking at a Gibson Custom 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue Electric Guitar, serial number 050238. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (9 lbs, 2.2 oz.)

The 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue VOS brings back a killer Black Beauty in all its glory. Built in the image of the Custom that re-emerged in '68, this Les Paul Custom Reissue sports all the deluxe LP Custom appointments plus an authentic '68 neck profile, a period-correct long tenon neck joint, a pair of vintage-accurate Alnico II humbuckers, and more!

Featuring an authentically carved maple cap and a mahogany back, the 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue comes handsomely dressed in its legendary upscale attire. The ebony VOS finish is hand-sprayed in nitrocellulose lacquer and wet-sanded by hand to add to its vintage appeal. Catering to that unmistakable "Tuxedo" aesthetic, the 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue boasts classy hand-scraped, multi-ply binding on the top, back and headstock.

The historically-accurate long tenon neck joint provides a solid feel and unparalleled sustain, and is fitted to the body with hide glue adhesive. Carved from mahogany into a vintage-correct 1968 Les Paul Custom profile, the 24.75"-scale neck carries a superbly playable 12"-radius ebony fingerboard that showcases classic pearl block inlays. As you'd expect from a late '60s Les Paul Custom, the headstock features an aged pearl split diamond inlay and Gibson logo.

For that authentic tone, bite and growl of late '60s-era humbuckers, the 1968 Les Paul Custom comes equipped with a pair of '68 Custom Alnico II pickups that were modeled after real world examples of original humbuckers from that era.

Of course, the 1968 Les Paul Custom fitted with all-gold-plated, vintage-correct hardware including gold pickup covers, a set of reissue waffle back tuning machines, and the traditional pairing of an ABR thumbwheel bridge with a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece. The hardware has been aged to perfection to add to the beautiful vintage vibe. A 1968 LP Custom pickguard & truss rod cover, black witch hat knobs with gold inserts, black trim rings, reissue black control plates and a special 2015 Gibson Custom medallion switch plate cover round out this premium vintage-inspired package.

Comes complete with a reissue brown hardshell case with pink fur lining and a Gibson Custom Historic Certificate of Authenticity in a trifold binder.
